GUIDELINES

Exam development adheres to guidelines to ensure quality.  In addition, the exam development has produced handbooks which outline steps and techniques used as part of exam development to apply these steps.  Lastly, checklists are used in review to ensure that exam development products were created according to the guidelines and that the appropriate steps have been taken.

Naming Conventions

Typically, design documents for exams, exam templates and blueprints are created in Word or Excel.  The filenames for these documents follow the pattern below.  See the Naming Conventions document for more information.

{Course Code}_{Unit Code}_{Object Name}_{Form}_{Version}.{File Extension}

SCN1780_U1_unitexam_A_100.docx

Once approved as Official Curriculum, these documents will be converted to PDF.  The naming conventions are similar but do not include version numbers.
