Media Developer: PPT presentations - Instructional Design Workshop 1 (MD IDW1)

Workshop Description:

Participants will have a hands-on experience in developing engaging and meaningful PPTs. These presentations will foster student independence being distributed as mobile learning, delivered in the classroom, and uploaded in virtual meeting rooms. These presentations will take full advantage of this highly visual medium in various responsive and interactive contexts. In this session participants will follow basic visual and instructional design guidelines. They will learn basic drawing and animation techniques to support an instructional purpose. To ensure quality and ownership, they will work in small teams through a rapid development process, with various roles and stages. These practices will provide access to quality media and engage faculty expertise as part of inspiring education. This workshop is a part of the series of curriculum development certificate workshops offered in the Centre for Excellence in Foundational Learning. The workshop is open to any college faculty or staff involved in presentation development.

Pre-requisite:

Basic visual and instructional design knowledge.  Familiarity with PowerPoint.
